Salvation
is found in no one else,
for there is no other name
under heaven given to men
by which we must be saved.

~
Acts 4:12 ~
|
 |
As a people of God, we believe
that salvation is possible
only through our Lord Jesus
Christ as there is no other
name given for the redemption
of mankind. (Acts 4:12)
Our
Lord's last commandment
to 'go and make disciples
of all nations' (Matt 28:19)
must also be our first concern.
With this in mind, a very
important focus of the church
is OUTREACH. As a
church blessed by God, we
are committed to bless the
community which we are a
part of. Since 2001, PLMC
has initiated a series of
community activities to
get to know the residents
of the neighbouring estate
of Serangoon Central. Besides
blessing them with gifts
such as mooncakes, umbrellas
and thermal mugs, PLMC also
helps to co-organise social
activities with the Resident's
Committee to bring the community
together. These activities
include health screening
sessions, CNY dinner, and
carnivals.
We want to see members give
their lives, money and time
to God to fulfill His call
to serve. We want to see
PLMC grow and mature in
her faith and at the end
be commended by the Lord
Himself: " Well done,
good and faithful servant."

Evangelistic
Events
Throughout the year,
befriending and
evangelistic programmes
are organised by
the committee. These
include visiting
the residents with
gifts to build on
relations as well
as events such as
organising events
such as Family Day
at the Serangoon
Stadium to provide
a platform for residents
and members to interact.
Carnivals organised
in conjunction with
festivals provide
another opportunity
for members to lend
their support to
the community and
make an impression
with their presence.
Regular training
sessions are also
organised to equip
our church members
with the necessary
skills to reach
out and follow-up
with others.
